Sometimes a small change can have a big impact, and nowhere is this more true than straightening your smile! And with Invisalign clear aligners, you can attain great results with minimal impact to your daily routine.
Invisalign treatment at Rockland Dental Group is done with a series of clear plastic aligners designed to gently move your teeth to create the optimal appearance of your smile. Unlike traditional bracket-and-wire braces, Invisalign aligners are inconspicuous and virtually invisible. Your friends and colleagues won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth — unless you tell them!
How does Invisalign treatment work?
During your consultation appointment, your dentist will scan your teeth using an iTero digital scanner — forget those sticky impression molds! — to create a 3D picture of your current smile. Using specialized software, they will map out a custom treatment plan, and you’ll even be able to see a computer rendering of the end result.

You’ll return to our New City dentist office when your first set of Invisalign aligners arrives. Each set of aligners is crafted to apply just the right amount of pressure in just the right spot to gently shift your teeth into place. At this initial fitting, your dentist will assure your liners fit well and answer all of your questions.
Once you get started, you’ll switch out your aligners for a new set every one to two weeks and return to check in with your dentist every few weeks. For the best results, you’ll want to wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours a day. Invisalign aligners are easy to remove for eating and drinking, and there are no restricted foods or drinks — just remember to brush your teeth before you pop your aligners back in!
The length of treatment varies depending on the complexity of your case, but you could be seeing your beautiful new smile in the mirror in as little as 6 months, and you may even begin to see initial changes sooner.
