Routine dental visits — including a dental exam and thorough cleaning of all of your teeth — are one of the best ways to keep your smile bright and healthy. Not only do regular visits to your dentist prevent tooth decay and shine up your smile, these appointments can also help to identify and address oral health issues before they become a problem.
Dr. Paul and the team at Rockland Dental Group in New City, NY take pride in providing a comfortable environment and excellent dental care. You will notice the difference as from the moment you walk in the door. We give you the personalized attention you deserve while providing care that exceeds your expectations — and at a cost you can afford.
How often should I go to the dentist? How does regular dental care help my smile?
We recommend most patients schedule two dental appointments each year for regular check-ups. During your visit, you will see one of our experienced hygienists who will clean and polish your teeth, removing accumulated plaque and cleaning below the gum line where your toothbrush may struggle to reach. Your hygienist can also answer any questions you may have about regular dental maintenance.
The dentist will examine your teeth — as well as your gums and the inside of your mouth — checking for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancers, and other problems. Your dentist will diagnose any issues such as cavities and recommend a treatment plan to restore your smile to its best.

You may also have X-rays to check for hidden signs of tooth decay, and your dentist may recommend a fluoride treatment or other preventative product to help keep your teeth healthy.
By scheduling regular appointments, your dental team can catch oral health problems early or keep an eye on any areas of concern. Your dental visit is also a great opportunity to ask us questions about your oral health, cosmetic procedures such as whitening or bonding, or even orthodontic treatment with Invisalign.
We understand that some people put off dental visits for a number of reasons including anxiety or embarrassment. Our team at Rockland Dental Group is here to make you feel comfortable and at ease as we get your dental health back on track. Ask about sedation options when you make your appointment.
Dedicated
care, for you.
